Traditional media consumption rises with internet

Mumbrella reports that, according to Nielsen’s 2010 Internet & Technology Report,  the increase in internet use in Australia has not affected the time people spend with "traditional" media.

According to the report, the average Australian internet user spent 17.6 hours per week online last year, up from 16.1 hours in 2008.

Overall however, almost half of internet users (49%) surveyed multi-tasked television and the internet at the same time, and 39 per cent multi-tasked radio and the internet.
