Four Big Web Trends to Watch

Thursday, February 04, 2010

In a recent post, Ben Parr, Co-Editor of Mashable, outlines four solid predictions for the "web of tomorrow."  It's been 20 years since the internet started as a US Dept of Defense research project, to becoming the foundation of the worldwide web, to its position today as a communications network linking us via browsers, email, social networks and other online tools and applications.

Here are Ben's predictions, which I think are straightforward, and make a lot of sense :

1) The web will be accessible anywhere

2) Web access will not focus around the computer

3) The web will be media-centric

4) Social media will be its largest component
